A recent article on the Dr. Oz website echoes what I’ve been teaching my clients all along. Meal replacements work. To quote from the article:
“Meal-replacement shakes are an effective, easy way to drop pounds. They teach you how to eat less and lose weight quickly and permanently – and the right shake can boost your metabolism by 25%.”
While they should never take the place of eating a healthy diet, a replacement shake is a great breakfast choice and as a healthy fast food alternative.
You can check out further information about meal replacements on the healthtalks website through the following links: when to use meal replacements, scientific studies supporting the use of meal replacements and how to choose a quality meal replacement.
In the First Get Healthy program, I recommend the use of meal replacements but only as small part of a much bigger program where you learn what to eat, when to eat, and how to eat along with the role of sleep, stress, exercise, hormones and much more…
